 Henry Kalungi, a member of the Richmond Kickers since the 2009 championship season, is a director and co founder of the Uganda Youth Soccer Academy in his home country of Uganda as an effort to improve the lives of children through soccer. 

Kalungi is the director and co-founder of the Uganda Youth Soccer Academy (UYSA), which is a community based soccer academy established to offer opportunities to the disadvantaged youth of Uganda through soccer and education. “We started this academy with a goal of helping the orphans from slums and other places to earn a life,” comments Kalungi.  “I go early in the morning on Wednesdays and Saturdays to coach the kids and teach them life skills and to encourage them to make positive decisions.”


Director's Message


 On behalf of Uganda Youth Soccer Academy, we are proud to engage Ugandan youth helping them get an opportunity to play football as a way to get them into school in Uganda and abroad. Uganda Youth Soccer Academy, is geared to the development of youth football talents in Uganda.  

The UYSA is a Soccer Academy registered with the Registrar of Companies (Uganda) and affiliated to the Federation of Uganda  Football Association (FUFA) and National Council of Sports (NCS) to provide professional soccer coaching activities in collaboration with parents to talented boys and girls between the ages of 3 to 17 years.
